Hi friends! Today I come to you with a chunk of wisdom in the form of chocolate. Since I started baking regularly I always found myself scrambling to find ingredients so eventually I started buying in bulk to prevent sending my husband to the store at 9:00 pm when I have a sudden urge to make chocolate chip cookies.
For those of you who are fortunate enough to live by a Trader Joe’s, the chocolate bar pictured above is life. They are found above the freezer section where all of the candy is. They come in different variations like milk chocolate, 72% cacao dark chocolate and 54% dark chocolate. I usually get the 54% dark chocolate because it is most versatile for my baking, not too dark but not too sweet. I have used this chocolate bar to make brownies, chocolate chunk cookies, brownie cookies, chocolate ganache, chocolate shavings, hot chocolate and the list could go on! It melts great and has a delicious flavor so I am on board with paying $5 for a lot of good chocolate!
If you don’t live by a TJ’s you can pick up whatever is on sale at the grocery store. From Ghirardelli’s squares in the candy aisle to bulk chocolate chips which can both be melted down to make all of the above treats.
Thanks for checking in!
